I missed the Friday night events myself I'm afraid so have to relate what I can remember of what I heard second hand. :-7

One incident that connot be expurged from even the most forgetful was the horrific encounter the night porter had with a mostly naked individual. Facts are uncertain about the event but we have established that this individual, who we shall call Harry[*], did have a thin covering material over the groin. Believed to be 50% nylon purple tartan boxers.

[*] Names have been changed to protect the identity of the victims.

It is alledged that Harry[*] did not know how he came to be in a semi-naked position in the corridor locked outside the room. It is believed that there was a quantity of alcohol imbibed by some of the party that evening.

The night porter has not been seen since and there is great concern over their whereabouts. A national search and rescue mission has spread across europe at this stage.

The basics of paintball were learned quickly by even the most inexperienced of the squad. Much fun and abuse of the outer epidermal layer of bodies ensued. Adrenalin levels were so high that abuse of the muscular systems was not noticed until later that day and over next few days.

Is that about right? Pologies for mix ups. It obviously didn't matter too much! :) If person looked like they were on other team (as everyone there wearing combats did) then they were a legitimate target!! :)

If you could all please number and label and categorize each hit and bruise you received and then send them on by email we'll use them - um for valuable scientific purposes - this data is vital to the future of the lesser antarctic lemming (the ones with the green bouncy hair and blue smocks)!!

The rest of the night has been censored

So anyway Roy & Adrian headed off to Langdons. Bill - who wasn't drinking much except for blackcurrant was assaulted by evil stomach cramps and headed about ? 12? 1am? back to hotel. Hoagy was assaulted by a gin & bitter lemon and dissapeared.

Harry was the proud recipient of gold in the World hugging championships finals held that very night. While Eoin attained silver dispite the use of illegal and unorthidox moves. Stories are mixed as to why star hugger Ridgeway was not seen performing.

After a lauded performance on the dance floor by some of the party it was time for MORE BEER back at the hotel leaving the olympians in mid-competition. Messrs Jer (Roy) and Derek (Adrian) O'Donovan had minor trouble remembering their room number upon entrance. The real Messers O'Donovan were believed to be keeping the residents bar open around 2am ... BUT had disappeared never to be seen. Hopefully they survived the night.

Latest breaking news: Roy hit the residents bar but the residents bar hit back. Well, not the bar. He hit the wall about 2ish and then hit bed. Adrian stayed on in the wrong disco as he met a lovely young lady. unfortunetly he had a disagreement with a local gentlemenand his friends and after getting the upper hand in fisticuffs was surrounded by bouncers and ejected from the premises.

Mr Shorts attempted several aliases upon entrance of the hotel but was discovered by the most astute and perceptive doorman. He was observed to be highly embarrassed and distressed by the unfortunate incident. However spirits were retained to high levels (as well as being imbibed at reasonable levels) and an immensley comfortable evening was enjoyed from thenceforth in the bea-u-tiful bea-u-tiful surroundings of the bea-u-tiful residents' bar in that bea-u-tiful hotel in the bea-u-tiful heart of the city of Kilkenny. Other spirits were availed of and judged to have a bea-u-tiful affect on the senses of the party.

There was a dissapointment at the lack of the Estonian national spirit but a proud stiff upper ... something was maintained by the majority of the party at this news.

The party retired around 5am leaving gentlemen Harry & Shorty to finish off the night.

Happily Hoagy was discovered alive next morning in hotel texting Shorty at 7am.
